This home, designed as a series of interior pavilions situated around a multi-story courtyard, creates rich internal landscape with views that focus inward. Expansive sliding glass walls create a continuous landscape through the house, pulling the garden in and extending the living spaces outward. A large floating roof unifies the pavilions and captures parts of garden as interior living space to enhance the feeling of living in the landscape.
The height constraints of this home’s lot led to a design that captures space beneath the level pad. The courtyard becomes an atrium that organizes the home and allows nature and daylight deep inside.
